Clifton Webb
To the X generation, the name Clifton Webb doesn't
seem to conjure up any notion at all, but to those
who
fondly remember the 40's, 50's, and 60's they can
tell
you how much of an enjoyable, talented performer he
in fact was. Clifton Webb was born on November 19,
1891, in Indianapolis, Indiana as Webb Parmalee
Hollenbeck and was a master of both drama and comedy.
He appeared in over 25 features and became most
famous for the role of the stuffy Mr. Belevedere.
Clifton Webb passed away on October 13, 1966 at the
age of 74, but is still known to be a very active
Hollywood resident. Clifton Webb is laid to rest at
the Hollywood Memorial Park in the Abbey of Palms
mausoleum and is one of HollyWEIRD's many celebrity
ghosts that is reported frequently.
