Tell USA Not to Cut "RWC" From It's Line up!
The following text is my uncensored, original transcript for a
magazine article I wrote on RWC that appeared in Outre' Magazine.
I am
posting this article for the benefit of those that did not obtain a copy of the
original magazine and for the education of those that have not been lucky enough
to view this ground breaking series.
After you read the article, I hope
that my words will inspire you to click on the "S.O.S." banners in our effort to
keep this ass kicking show on the USA Network where it belongs! It is about to
become as rare as the cinema gems that Ms. Bernhard screens and will certainly
face oblivion unless you act now!
The article I wrote was supposed to be
an interview with Ms. Bernhard and resulted in random quotes and material
supplied by the USA Network due a total lack of their co-operation in obtaining
Ms. Bernhard. I have had a long lasting relationship with USA having published
several spreads on the network and have never before had a problem obtaining
interviews.
It appears to me that perhaps the network never cared enough
to promote the program properly or perhaps they were afraid of the rebellious
nature that the show represented.
I am saddened by its demise as I am with
the disappearance of Rhonda Shear and Gilbert Gottfried from "USA Up All
Night". It seems that a network that once founded its unique style on the
offbeat has now become ultra-conservative and politically correct in a time when
movie hosts are needed now more than ever.

as the network certainly didn't make it easy on me and I suggest we return the
favor by demanding the return of "Reel Wild Cinema"! It would be sad to be
deprived of such a show and settle for cookie cutter re-runs on a network that
will possibly now stand for (U)n-watchable (S)hit (A)gain!
